Hildegard Gallée geb. Zemmin

Tante Hildi

What do I say about my Tante Hildi.

she married Paul Alexander Zemmin was born on August 19, 1912, the son of Agnes Boeker and Paul Alexander Zemmin. He died on June 19, 1952, at the age of 39. I never got to meet her husband ( obviously ) and she never really talked about family and at that young age I really wasnt interested in that and more into coloring books, chocolates, cakes and cookies. As I was a child, she would grab my hand and sit me on her lap … or we would sit next to each other just chit chatting about thi sand that. She was always so sweet, calling me MEINE KLEINE .. or ( oder ) na ha MEIN KIND … always laughing and smiling behind her words. I got to know her as a child and always knew her to living in Potsdamn on AM KANAL 1 we would visit her taking the bus and or the car and walk along the Kanal in the city . Her house or not so much of a home but a small apartmetn was cluttered with everything she owned.. You see, over in Europe everything is measured differently when it comes to housing.

Parents

Siblings

We would meet up for Kafffee und Kuchen with the ” Good China ” or Porclain to come out .. and an assortment of cakes and cookies often found in the DDR ( East Germany ) …
