One way to research and record your Genealogy is using the Numbering System. One great example of this is something called ” The Ahnentafel ”
This is a genealogy numbering system is easy to understand as you can visibly see ( if the information is entered correctly and you know that it is all proven fact. ) i was given one when I started my family tree by my family.

As you see here.
Number 1 is listed as Hildegard Galle
Number2 is listed as Rudolf Gallee ( this is her father )
Number 3 is listed as Anna Henning ( this is her Mother )
and so on….
the * is known for Birth dates and the t ( or cross looking thing usually next to it or to the side is the date of death ) when you see something that looks like an ” infinity sign ” thats the date of marriage.
This document is a german/European Record so when listing any type of date
REMEMBER THEY LIST THE ” DAY ” FIRST , THEN THE MONTH AND LASTLY THE YEAR!!
