Hollywood Actor Kevin Bacon grew up here at 2117 Locust Street, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The Bacons lived here for a time in downtown Philadelphia.
Bacon attended Julia R. Masterman High School, 1699 Spring Garden Street, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania for both middle and high school. In 1975, he would be granted a full scholarship to and attended the Pennsylvania Governor’s School for the Arts at Bucknell University.

Their father, the late Edmund Bacon, was an iconic city planner. “Our father made such an impact in Philadelphia that I get more questions about him than Kevin’s acting career,” Michael Bacon said.

No city marker indicates the star’s prior residence although he visits the city on various occasions. His father many years ago, decided to break Philadelphia law of not skateboarding in LOVE Park (across from City Hall of Philadelphia) in which he was the city’s planner years ago.
