75th Ranger Regiment

In April 2015 at Hunter Army Airfield (HAAF), Georgia, GEN Daniel B. Allyn, Vice Chief of Staff of the U.S. Army, presented Ranger Squad Leader SGT Travis Dunn with the Bronze Star Medal for Valor and the Purple Heart—recognizing extraordinary courage and sacrifice in combat.
Wounded while conducting operations in Nangarhar Province, Afghanistan, SGT Dunn fought through a sustained six-hour direct-fire engagement, maneuvering against multiple enemy positions with unwavering poise under fire. His decisive actions—and refusal to quit—saved lives, protected fellow Rangers, and directly contributed to mission success.

For the last two years, COL Oboho and CSM Masters led the #75thRangerRegiment with a clear understanding: the Regiment is bigger than any one leader.

It belongs to the #Rangers on the ground. To those who shoulder the load, uphold the standard, and answer the call when the nation needs them most.

They challenged every Ranger to live the Ranger Creed, move further, faster, and fight harder, and pursue mastery in the fundamentals of our warfighting craft.

Thank you, COL Oboho and CSM Masters. Your impact will endure in the Rangers you shaped, the leaders you developed, and the standard you strengthened.

As we bid farewell to our outgoing command team, we welcome COL Armstrong and CSM Lachnit as the next Regimental Commander and Command Sergeant Major of the 75th Ranger Regiment.
