82nd Airborne

To my brothers—Y’all know the deal.

1SG, Jumpmaster, 82nd Airborne. Still carry the weight of every night jump and every brother we brought home in a bag. We stacked out of that bird for a country that was supposed to mean something when the canopy collapsed and the boots hit dirt.

Look across the water. The Chinese don’t mess around with half-measures. They’ve got their One China policy—plain, hard, no apology. Call it aggressive, call it whatever the talking heads want. Is it racist? Hell if I know, and I don’t much care. At least it exists. They draw a line around their own people and their own ground and they mean it. They feed them, house them, keep the machine running for the ones inside that line. No pretty speeches about “freedom” while the citizens get left on the drop zone.

Us? Where’s the One USA policy? We wave the flag, scream about liberty, and then treat our own like excess gear nobody wants to police up. Freedom’s the cover story. You’re free to fight, free to come home broken, free to wait years for the VA to return a phone call, free to watch the country you bled for look the other way while veterans sleep under bridges and families go under from medical bills. We don’t have a policy that says “these people are ours—protect them first.” We have slogans. We have excuses. We have politicians who’ll send you to the other side of the world and then act like you’re a burden the second the aircraft lands back stateside.

I didn’t earn these wings so America could use “freedom” the way a lazy NCO uses “not my problem.” The Chinese may run a hard shop, but they at least claim their own. We claim the high ground and then abandon the troops on it.

Still here. Still watching. Still pissed.
All the way.
1SG, 82nd Airborne.

MAGA is the closest we got for sure.
