3rd photo of the sequence as we headed south off base toward Long Binh. This photo is looking nearly due west. The perimeter berm is barely visible extending from the right to the center where it terminated. The terminus of the bunker line occurred where it intersected with the Air Base barbed wire and minefield area. All of the area on the left of center horizon was the air strips for the Air Base. Note on the right is a tower. The Army Base had about a dozen towers located along its perimeter and these towers were manned only during daylight hours. All the large bunkers were manned only during night time hours.
