For one year and four months she lived as a girl in Paris under Nazi occupation while her family watched French Jews rounded up and hoped that French Jewish girls who were one year old and born on 7 March 1942 in Paris would be spared from arrival at Auschwitz on 20 July 1943 in transport of 1000 Jews deported from Drancy murdered at age 1.

In July 1943 German SS deported French Jews to Auschwitz Birkenau in transport of 1000 Jews from Drancy.
